Investing in Preservation

Preservation involves targeted conservation efforts which help to keep history alive for future generations. The Foundation's commitment in this area has meant providing support for certain museums as well as for nonprofits that are working to save California wildlife and habitats. Our focus on history and conservation help keep the spark of hope burning brightly.

The Elfenworks Foundation was one of the key donors underwriting The Jimmy Carter Presidential Library’s redesign in 2009. Originally established in 1986, the museum houses 40,000,000 pages, 1,000,000 photographs, 2,200,000 feet of film, and 2,500 hours of video. The major overhaul included the addition of an interactive table and interactive screens throughout the museum, high-tech energy-saving lighting, and an emphasis on education for the 21st century.
